beach feet

What an Amazing vacation this was! I had the opportunity to go to Puerto Rico for Alli & David's wedding, so Julia, Kristy & I turned that short wedding trip into a full blown, week long vacation, running around all over Puerto Rico. These are just a few shots from my trip.

The Highlight of my trip!

My last afternoon in Puerto Rico was by far the best! I was told in order to make it out to Culebra, and the famous Flamenco Beach, I needed to take a quick flight out to the island. On my way there I was crammed in that tiny plane with 8 other passengers. On my way back it was just the pilot and myself. I asked if it would be okay for me to sit up front, & Victor gladly agreed, and said he'd even give me a quick flight lesson! I couldn't believe once we got up in the air he actually let me take control to steer the plane and everything! It was unreal having that kind of control in the air.
Upon leaving Culebra island, it was to stormy back in San Juan for us too land, which turned out to be great because that gave Victor time to fly us around the Carribean and he pointed out all kinds of different islands I would have never noticed before.
After the weather cleared and we began to approach our landing in San Juan he made a wide swoop around Old San Juan so I could take a look at the incredible century's old buildings, then he opened his only window to his left to give me a better view and snap a few pictures.

This last afternoon in Puerto Rico was by far one of the most unexpected, and amazing experiences! Something I will truly cherish for a lifetime.

My trip to Culebra

Getting out to Culebra was a little scary. I had to take a little puddle jumper for a quick half hour flight from San Juan to the island. It was only $105 round trip and well worth it!

Flamenco Beach
Discovery Channel rates this beach as the second most beautiful beach in the WORLD! After spending the day there I can easily see why.

San Juan street party

Sunday night we found a fun strip of bars in Old San Juan. The music was great & the locals were so welcoming. We all drank Orgasmo shots, Julia took over the maracas, our new local buddy Raul taught us all how to dance, and then we took to the cobblestone streets singing and dancing the night away.

Orgasmo Shots!!!

You crazy dancing machines :)

Old San Juan

Old San Juan was the most colorful city I have ever seen! Every building we passed by was painted in a different vibrant color.
Each one more saturated that the next.

The Reception

The Wedding

Alli was glowing & David looked so happy.
It was such a beautiful ceremony.

You may KISS THE BRIDE!

Coco Frio

The most refreshing part of my trip!
It doesn't get much better than this delightfully chilled, fresh coconut,
and some Pinchos in the afternoon.

El Yunque Rainforest

While part of the gang was busy getting ready for the wedding in the evening, the rest of us made a trip up to El
What a beautiful place! It was a bit crowded with lots of people on the trails. But we were able to find a secluded waterfall along the way. We had to scale some slippery rocks to get there, but a few bumps ad bruises were well worth it to have that spot all to ourselves.
